Panepistimio
Panepistimio (University) metro station is found at one of the most famous street of the town, Akadimias street that presents interest as here there are the impressive buildings of Academy,
University and Library. These three neoclassic buildings have been characterized listed buildings.
Around from them there is a small garden and a lot of statues.
The Academy building is constituted by self-contained departments that shape harmonious complex of buildings.
The University of Athens is constituted also this from a complex of buildihgs. It was built from 1839 until 1864 and has impressive murals.
The National Library was built at the end of the 18th century. Characteristic of the building is its entry with the double scale.
Metro station has entry – exit on the Akadimias (Academy) street, in front of the University and the Academy and on Korai St.
