I ate here twice on March 4th 2007. I had a wonderful lunch, after spending the morning walking around the Acropolis. The salad was fresh and plentiful, and the lamb souvlaki absolutely delicious. I didn't try any of the wines (they looked very good), but the Mythos beer was just right.
Having discovered this gem (I never look at guidebooks or reviews - prefer to trust my own judgement), I intended to bring a friend for dinner that evening - our plans didn't quite work out, but I ended up back here on my own anyway at almost midnight, on the way back from a jazz gig. A folk band was playing, people were dancing and singing. I ordered a beer and asked for the menu. I think through all the music the waiter thought I'd asked for fruit, as a plate of assorted fresh fruit duly appeared! I did order some roast lamb shank afterwards, which was very tasty. And, yes, I joined in the music-making along with the locals (if the taverna people see this review, I was the one who played the tambourine).
At O Geros Tou (some spell it Toy) Moria you can have an excellent meal with a beer for around 20-22 Euros. They don't rip you off, they're friendly and welcoming, and I'd definitely visit again. As well as Greek (of course) they speak English and German - I'm not sure what other languages.

I am in the travel industry and I have visited Yeros tou Moria many times with organised groups. The food is excellent, the music magical and often they have a folk show with professional dancers dancing around the tables wearing traditional dress. You can get up and join in too!!
