I stayed at the Plaza Hotel for 4 days in June with a friend and our three 18yr old daughters, (2hers, 1mine). Overall it was a great trip and the hotel was fine for us. The hotel owner's wife picked us up from the airport which was kind. Our twin room turned out to be a double with a put-up bed added and the triple room we booked for the girls turned out to be a twin room with a put-up bed squeezed in. But we made do. The air-conditioning worked. The shower was powerful. There was a little balcony. It was all clean. The breakfast was, bread with cheese and ham and hard-boiled eggs and an orange drink. One day we got melon too. And tea or coffee. We caught buses from outside the hotel to Athens and Sounio and Varkisa and Pireas, all cheap and plentiful. Across the road and maybe 200 yards up was the public beach where we swam and across the road from the beach was a great taverna serving greek snacks and food and drinks. It was friendly service and very cheap. All in all we had a great trip. The hotel was friendly and clean and also very reasonably priced. I recommend to anyone visiting Athens on a budget. KW

ive been to this hotel many times and believe me the people there are really friendly and helpful, the rooms are really well cleaned and everything about the rooms is great. there are many shops and places to go which are really close to the hotel but the best thing is that there is a beach over the road.
