The collection of the National Historical Museum presents the evolution of the morphology of Greek military uniforms, as well as that of the uniforms of the diplomatic corps. The collection is comprised of:
Full costumes and attires of famous freedom-fighters of the 1821 Revolution and of philhellenes. Included are garments of: T. Kolokotronis, I. Makryiannis, V. Mavrovonniotis, T. Grivas, R. Church and representative samples of different types of uniforms worn during the pre-Revolutionary period and during the War of Independence.
Army, Navy and Air Force uniforms belonging to distinguished members of the Greek armed forces, and the kings and princes of Greece from the end of the 19th to the middle of the 20th century.
